TIPS FOR MOTORCYCLE RIDES ON OKLAHOMA
Thanks to Oklahoma’s hot summers and relatively mild winters, you can ride here every month of the year. If planning motorcycle rides in Oklahoma in the summer, expect the average high temperatures to get into the mid-90’s. In which case it's always best to ride with mesh-style jackets or pants, for maximum airflow, or other types of hot weather riding gear. Insulative, wind-blocking jackets and motorcycle pants are best for any winter riding in Oklahoma. The spring and fall seasons are great times to ride, just be prepared for any wet weather by packing in some rain gear. While most of Oklahoma's most extreme weather such as tornadoes and heavy storms are most common in late spring and early summer, these types of severe weather can hit from April through October. It's always a good idea to check the forecast before heading out.
Oklahoma law requires only those motorcycle operators and passengers under 18 to wear helmets.
