PRESCOTT TO LA CROSSE
ROUTE: WI-35
DISTANCE: 119 miles
TIME: 2.5 hours
Wisconsin 35, also known as the Great River Road, offers beautiful scenery of the east side of the Mississippi River. There’s some nice sweeping curves as you ride alongside numerous state parks, wildlife refuges and other designated natural areas. The Great River Road, established in 1938, stretches for 3,000 miles through 10 states along the Mississippi River, making this one of the best motorcycle roads in Wisconsin.

KETTLE MORAINE SCENIC DRIVE
ROUTE: Kettle Moraine Scenic Dr
DISTANCE: 29 miles
TIME: 1 hour
This is an excellent WI motorcycle ride that meanders in the Kettle Moraine State Forest. The area contains very hilly terrain and glacial landforms, such as kettles, kames and eskers. Be sure to climb the Parnell Observation Tower for a fantastic view. The scenery is good as you zig zag through lots of curves. Just follow the green scenic route signs as you ride.

HIGHWAY 55
ROUTE: WI-55
DISTANCE: 104 miles
TIME: 2 hours
Hwy 55 is a great motorcycle road through the rolling and curving hills in rural Wisconsin. This route is full of nice, wide curves, and an abundance of shade by trees on both sides. The southern portion of this motorcycle ride in Wisconsin through the Menomonee Reservation is full of twists and turns, while the northern section has some nice, open stretches. Motorcyclists will take in beautiful river scenery as the road hugs the Wolf River for much of the ride and passes by multiple lakes.

BRIDGEPORT TO SAUK CITY

DISTANCE: 79 miles
TIME: 1.5 hours
This route in southwestern Wisconsin parallels the Wisconsin River and makes for an excellent motorcycle ride. There’s very little traffic, and there’s some fantastic views on the straight-a-ways and along the Wisconsin River. The pavement is excellent as well, making this one of the best motorcycle rides in Wisconsin!

ROUTE: WI-33
DISTANCE: 79 miles
TIME: 1.5 hours
This WI motorcycle route begins in La Crosse, and makes for a great extension of our first ride mentioned above on WI-35. On this road (WI-33) you’ll see some of the most beautiful farms in Wisconsin as you ride through scenic Amish country. There’s mostly wide open roadway with long sweepers, as you head east to Reedsburg, WI. If you ride this on a weekday, you’ll probably have almost the entire route to yourself! Wildcat Mountain State Park is near this route and is definitely worth checking out.

HIGHWAY 88
ROUTE: WI-88
DISTANCE: 37 miles
TIME: 30 mins
Known as “Black Lightning,” Highway 88 has approximately 130 corners and curves in 40 miles as it runs from Gilmanton to the Mississippi River, making it one of Wisconsin’s highest-rated biker roads. The best starting point is the town of Mondovi, located in the northeastern corner of Buffalo County. This great Wisconsin motorcycle route will give even the most skilled riders an exciting challenge as you navigate along the ridges and slash through a sandstone cut north of Praag.

ARCADIA TO FOUNTAIN CITY
ROUTE: WI-95
DISTANCE: 18 miles
TIME: 30 mins
Although this is one of the shorter rides on our list, this portion of Hwy 95 will not disappoint! Starting in Arcadia, Wisconsin Hwy 95 offers excellent vistas and sweeping turns. This part of Wisconsin’s countryside is beautiful to ride your motorcycle through. You’ll love the curves and the views of the Mississippi as it gets close to Fountain City. There is usually very little traffic here as well, which will make this short little run even more enjoyable. For a longer loop ride, connect with the above-mentioned Hwy 88. This is some of the best motorcycle riding in western Wisconsin.
