ROUTE 9

DISTANCE: 50 miles
TIME: 1 hour 10 min

Pickup this Delaware motorcycle road at First State National Historic Park and travel south on DE-9 along the coast of northern Delaware. Passing alongside numerous wildlife refuge areas and farmlands. The straights are beautiful, and allow riders to open up a bit and enjoy the coastal views.

DELAWARE COASTAL HIGHWAY

DISTANCE: 18 miles
TIME: 1 hour 20 min

While most of this DE motorcycle route is a straight shot ride, you'll pass State Park beaches and Wildlife Refuge areas, and quaint beach towns. This is a busy traffic area in summer, so off season or weekday riding is recommended. Continue south on this road into Maryland's Ocean City Beach, and enjoy one of the best motorcycle roads in Delaware.

CAMDEN TO REDDEN STATE FOREST

Routes 15, 113
DISTANCE: 40 miles
TIME: 1 hour

This Delaware motorcycle ride is very flat but there are a bunch of sweeping turns on this route featuring DE-15 and DE-113. This is a great road to ride if heading towards the beach but want to avoid the freeway traffic. DE-15 has some nice, open stretches along scenic farmland. Route 113 leads to Redden State Park, a forest featuring a historical lodge that was once a hunting retreat for railroad executives. With over 44 miles of trails, the 18 tracts of Redden State Forest are popular for hiking, horseback riding, bicycling, and bird watching.

BRANDYWINE VALLEY LOOP

Routes 100, 82 & PA-926
DISTANCE: 27 miles
TIME: 1 hour

This popular motorcycle ride in Delaware will loop around the northern tip of Delaware into parts of Pennsylvania. There are some fast sweepers with elevation changes. Rt 82 is a narrow road, but you'll enjoy the turns and creek views. Rt 100 opens up and a great view of beautiful countryside. The northern portion of this route is one of the best motorcycle rides in Pennsylvania. As an option, for a longer ride with more scenery, change the northern portion of the loop to be Rt 842 instead of Rt 926.
