Riders will love the scenic ocean views on FL A1A, the shaded forest roads on Old Dixie Highway, and the nearby state parks to explore. Located just north of Daytona Beach, the Ormond Loop forms a 24-mile loop that’s a favorite for both Bike Week and Biketoberfest riders.

This FL motorcycle ride starts out along A1A, and the views are great, because it feels like you’re riding right beside the Atlantic Ocean. Riders may even catch glimpses of dolphins in the glittering ocean (always a rare sight while riding a motorcycle!) Most ‘curated lists’ for the top motorcycle roads in Florida will highlight FL-19 is a popular ride, but we’d argue the backroads that travel west and south of that major route offer an even better experience for motorcyclists looking for a quieter road, with fun curves and that old-Florida charm.

This great motorcycle ride in Central Florida can be started in Salt Springs, which is just an hour west of Daytona Beach. Next, take Highway 314 west from FL-19. Route 314 is a lesser-known hidden gem road that travels southwest through the forest before it connects with 314A, where the ride gets even better.

Motorcyclists looking for the best places to ride motorcycle in Central Florida will love the sweeping curves and tight turns this route provides. The views offer scenic Florida farmland as well as thick pine forests. Further south, follow SE 182nd Avenue Road and SE Highway 450 until you reconnect with Route 19 near Umatilla, FL. Motorcyclists can ride north on FL A1A through Ormond Beach, Flagler Beach and eventually up to St. Augustine Beach. There are cafes, pubs and restaurants to stop all along the way.

The above-mentioned Ormond Loop features parts of State Road A1A, but motorcyclists can optionally travel more of this scenic road, especially if they prefer the casual cruise it provides.
